HOW TO CLEAN A TV SCREEN
CLEANING TIPS FOR FLAT SCREEN
Plasma and LCD screens require more care than the older glass screens, which could be cleaned with glass cleaner and paper towels. LCD panels are made of a type of plastic that can be easily damaged by harsh chemicals, scouring pads, and towels. This article provides 2 cleaning methods for flat panel televisions: with a microfiber cloth, with a vinegar solution, and using scratch removal techniques.
CLEAN WITH A MICROFIBER CLOTH
The first thing is to turn off the TV. You don't want to interfere with any pixels when it's still on, plus turning the TV off will allow you to see the dust and dirt since you're working on a dark surface. Find a microfiber cloth. These soft, dry cloths are the same type of cloth you would use when cleaning glasses. They are perfect for LCD screens as they do not leave lint. Cleans the screen. Use the microfiber cloth to gently wipe away any visible dirt or grime.
CLEAN WITH WATER AND VINEGAR SOLUTION
Make a solution of equal parts vinegar and water. Vinegar is a natural detergent, making it a safer option, and much less expensive, than other cleaners. Dampen a microfiber cloth in the vinegar solution and gently wipe the screen. If necessary, apply gentle pressure and rub any spots that need extra cleaning in a circular motion.
1. Do not pour or spray the vinegar solution directly on
