If you want to know where your contacts are or let them know where you are, you can set up and share your location from your iPhone to their Apple devices . Here's how to do it easily.

Turn on location sharing

1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the Me tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Turn on Share my location.

If your iPhone isn't set up to share, select Use this iPhone as my location.

If you have an Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) and you're not within range of your iPhone, your location will be automatically shared from your Apple Watch when you're wearing it.

How to share it with a family member or friend

1. Open the Find My app and tap the People tab.
2. Select the Add button at the top of the list.
3. Enter the name or select the contact with whom you want to share your location.
4. Tap Send and choose the duration for sharing: one hour, until the end of the day, or indefinitely.

You can stop sharing

If you decide to stop sharing your location, go back to the People tab within the app. Select the contact you no longer want to share with, tap Stop Sharing, and confirm your decision.

You can also hide your location from everyone from the Me tab by turning off the Share My Location option.
