Every year technology surprises us with its innovations , especially in the automotive sector. In turn, the most notable technological advances can be found mainly in the range of electric cars , which have become the main focus of the major car brands.
Nowadays these cars are equipped with the latest tools , such as ADAS, obstacle sensors, touch screens, Bluetooth, among others.
Recently, the Mercedes-Benz firm unveiled one of the most striking aspects of its new electric car model called EQS; it is a gigantic touch screen that will have an extension of almost a meter and a half long, designed to be manipulated by both the driver and the co-pilot.
This screen, nicknamed Hyperscreen , is made up of three screens integrated into a single panel, but which work simultaneously. The aim of this console is to optimise the MBUX (Mercedes- Benz User Experience) interface with a new version, which promises to be more user-friendly .
But isn't it going to be too bright? Designers say the screen will automatically adjust its illumination so as not to dazzle users and will feature more than 20 functions and apps. The intention of this innovative dashboard is to create a driving experience like no other.
The German firm is committed to electric mobility and has decided to exploit the luxury vehicle sector, among which the Mercedes EQS stands out . This car will have the characteristics of a sedan, but with high performance, luxury finishes and a very modern and sporty design.
The car's aesthetics are also inspired by previous models from the firm, such as the Mercedes EQC and the EQA. It is worth noting that the company decided to name all cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz that are 100% electric and that have similar exterior designs as "EQ". For example, all of these vehicles are equipped with LED technology and with illuminated grilles.
In addition, the EQS will not be sold with internal combustion engine variants; that is, there will be no versions that use fuel . In terms of power, the car will have two electric motors, which will allow it to reach a total power of 475 hp. Likewise, it will be able to reach 700 kilometers of autonomy and will support ultra-fast recharging, with a power of 350 kW.
But Mercedes-Benz is not satisfied with the EQS and its predecessors ; in fact, it is known that this vehicle will be the first in a series of luxury electric cars (it is estimated that six more vehicles will come).
One thing to keep in mind is that the Hyperscreen will be fitted as an option in the car, which means that the screen will have to be ordered as an extra . The price of both the vehicle and the Hyperscreen is currently unknown, but everything indicates that this screen will become a trend in Mercedes-Benz models.
